The mummified remains of an art project

There is no telling what you will find in the mountain forests of Kanagawa prefecture. There are wild boars, susume bachi (murder hornets), raccoons, snakes, and kites. Once in a while, it is possible to stumble upon the mummified remains of an art project. When I saw this, I thought it was a living statue but it never moved. Once I got closer, I could see it was a silver doll and not alive at all. Thank goodness for that. Being dragged off into the woods by a statue demon would not have been fun.
